The dedicated Programme Manager will bring together the community in the North West of Westminster across Westbourne, Queen’s Park and Harrow Road wards. The Programme Manager will identify community groups that currently exist and individuals who are interested in contributing to the project development (including those not currently involved in established community groups). A central part of this role will be to build trust to ensure that the community members feel comfortable in sharing and explaining their views and issues. This builds on recent consultation in the area which found that adults and young people felt that the community needed to be more joined-up.

  • Establish and coordinate estate level youth-led steering groups across 4 estates.
  • Communicate on the project findings at regular intervals to stakeholders through writing project reports and presentations.
  • Development of a set of recommendations and a plan to sustain the project.

To be successful for this role you must be an experienced Programme Manager with community engagement experience. You will be able to easily engage with people from different organisations backgrounds and perspectives and meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, creative and adaptive and always finds opportunities to involve young people and the community in the design of services and programmes. You need to be hardworking, organised, able to work independently and have a positive approach to problem solving. A skilled communicator, confident at suggesting and implementing new ideas is key to the success of this role.
