We are very pleased to announce our first round of small grants have been awarded this month, distributing £50000 of investment from our founding partners to support a huge range of projects delivered by our grass-roots member organisations within Westminster.

The fund aims to support community organisations to deliver activities and services that meet the needs of the children and young people of Westminster, whilst enhancing the capacity and sustainability of the sector. The projects that we have supported each focus on one of our key theme’s as highlighted by our recent needs analysis report, A City Within A City:

  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Accessing Opportunities
  • Staying Safe
  • Local Environment

The grants panel included YWF trustees, young Westminster residents,  representatives from  John Lyon’s Charity and One Westminster and founding partners. The following organisations and projects have been awarded a small grant this May, with the scope to benefit over 1000 young people:

A special thank you to our founding partners whose support has made our grants programme possible – Shaftesbury PLC, Colas Rail, The Mercers’ Company, Landsec, Capital Arches Group and A Taj Hotel.
